Slightly Spooky Beginner’s Mushroom Walk

Join ALT staff and WPMC Identifier, Julie Travaglini, for a mushroom hike at Dead Man’s Hollow. This slightly spooky hike will include the haunted history of Dead Man’s Hollow as we walk 0.9 mile (each way) along the Great Allegheny Passage to enter the ruins of the Hollow to look for fungi. COSTUMES ARE WELCOME – just make sure they are safe and comfortable for hiking.
Hike runs rain or shine. NO WALK-INS will be permitted. We will not be foraging on this hike or discussing edibility. Foraging for mushrooms can be risky, and it is never safe to eat a wild mushroom unless an expert confirms the identity.
