Overview
Monroeville’s Mosside Slopes is one of our Conservation Easements, which means we don’t have full ownership but restrict surface development to ensure that it remains as green space forever. While it’s not a site with parking or trails for public access, its a community asset as it protects steep, wooded slopes that host essential habitat for wildflowers and other flora and fauna. With recent and increasing flood events, protecting our steep hillsides should remain a priority for the Pittsburgh region. This site is one lovely example. Drive by and look for our sign to see the gorgeous, quintessentially-Pittsburgh hillside.
