Volunteer Workday: Invasives at Meyer Farm

Help us prepare Meyer Farm for fall tree planting!
Registration is required so we can communicate in case of any necessary changes
Join ALT’s stewardship team for an afternoon at Meyer Farm! We’ll be removing invasive plants from the property to prepare the land to welcome new native trees later this fall. When it comes to working on a farm, many hands make light work! Volunteers will use loppers, handsaws, and shovels to remove invasive plants for good. Together, we’ll identify and manage the invasive plants and envision a healthier and more productive future for the farm!
- Rain or shine, but we will cancel in case of thunderstorms.
- Wear long pants, high socks, and long sleeves to protect yourself from thorns, ticks, and poison ivy. Please wear close-toed shoes
- ALT provides all tools and gloves. Please bring a reusable water bottle.
- No Bathrooms on site.
- Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
- Park and meet in the parking area near the barn. Parking is limited- consider carpooling!
