Volunteer Workday: Invasive Plants

July 30 @ 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Take part in combatting invasive plant species at Churchill Valley Greenway!

**Registration is required so we can communicate in case of any necessary changes.**

Churchill Valley Greenway is a lush haven of native plants, birds, and other wildlife, but invasive plants have taken hold. Join the Mark A. MacKay Conservation Intern, Phoebe Brown, for an evening of volunteer service at this beloved greenspace! Volunteers will learn to identify some of the main invaders at CVG and use loppers and shovels to remove the plants for good.

  • Meet at the large upper parking lot
  • Wear close-toed shoes, long pants and sleeves
  • Rain or shine, but we will cancel in the event of thunderstorms
  • Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult
  • Gloves and tools will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own if they choose
  • No restrooms on site
  • Bring a reusable water bottle

**Registration is required so we can communicate in case of any necessary changes.**
