Volunteer Workday: Girty’s Woods Trail Maintenance

Join ALT’s Stewardship team for a morning of trail work. From the plateau of Girty’s Woods, we’ll work our way down the hillside on the network of trails to address any maintenance needs we may encounter. Tasks may include string trimming, pruning, raking, trail benching, tree bucking, litter pickup, and invasive plant management. We’ll hike together and leave a perfectly maintained trail in our wake!
Registration is required to participate, and volunteers must arrive on time. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required. Long sleeves and a hat are recommended to protect from sun and bugs. Tools and gloves will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own gear if they prefer. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Water and light snacks will be available. Please bring a full water bottle and consider packing a picnic to make a day of it!
