Tree Planting at Girty’s Woods

April 5 @ 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Plant trailside native trees and shrubs

Registration is required so we can communicate in case of any necessary changes.

Girty’s Woods is a haven for migratory birds and other wildlife. Join ALT to plant native trees and shrubs along a new trail system to improve the quality of habitat and food sources for Girty’s fauna.

Volunteers will work with shovels and mallets to plant trees and install tree protection.

Tools and gloves will be provided. Participants should dress appropriately for working outdoors: long sleeves, long pants, and close-toed shoes are required.

This event will take place rain or shine, but we will reschedule in case of thunderstorms or strong wind. Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring a reusable water bottle. There are no restrooms on site.

Love our work? Consider adding a donation to your ticket purchase to support our stewardship efforts to maintain and improve lands throughout the region.
