Trail Tuesday: Girty’s Woods

Help expand and maintain Girty’s trail network!
Registration is required so we can communicate in case of any necessary changes
Join Allegheny Land Trust for a volunteer workday at Girty’s Woods. Volunteers will clear vegetation and debris and build tread for new trail to create a loop in the existing trail network. Participants will use pruners, loppers, handsaws, rakes, and grub hoes.
- Rain or shine, but ALT will cancel in case of thunderstorms.
- Dress for muddy conditions and wear close-toed shoes. Long pants and sleeves are recommended to avoid poison ivy or ticks.
- ALT provides all tools and extra water. Please bring a reusable water bottle.
- No Bathrooms on site.
- Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
- Access the property through Irwin Lane, driving past the gate and cell tower to park on the property. Follow event signs for parking.
