Current Land Protection Projects

Allegheny Land Trust helps local people save local land in the Pittsburgh region. We currently have one major land conservation project under contract for protection. We’re working closely with the neighboring communities to ensure this special land is permanently protected for the benefit of current and future generations. Learn more by following the link below to its informational landing page. If you have land you would like to conserve, please submit information using our online form

Expand Settlers Cabin Park

To-date, we’ve conserved 293 acres of green space as part of our landscape-scale “Panhandle Greenway Conservation Project”. Now, we have another 30 acres of green space under contract for permanent conservation that would expand Settlers County Park. Conserving this land would grow our efforts in creating an ecological, recreational, and place-making greenway unlike any in the region.
