2019 Land Protection Projects

We currently have two high profile projects under contract for protection. We’re working closely with the neighboring communities to ensure these rare green spaces are permanently protected for the benefit of current and future generations. Learn more about the individual projects by following the links below to their respective pages.

Bethel Green Project

We are working in cooperation with the Municipality of Bethel Park and local community members to acquire and permanently conserve one of the largest remaining green spaces in Pittsburgh’s South Hills. If we’re successful in raising the necessary funding, this hidden gem will be forever protected as a community conservation area for the health, well-being, and enjoyment of current and future residents.

Churchill Valley Greenway Project

We are also thrilled to announce our project to conserve the former Churchill Valley Country Club in Churchill and Penn Hills. This rare and spectacular green space has great potential to be a premiere conservation area protecting habitat and creating an outstanding opportunity for passive recreation for area residents. We look forward to working with the community to make this project a reality.
