Invasive Plant Removal: Churchill Valley Greenway
November 14 @ 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Join ALT’s Stewardship team for a morning of invasive plant management at our beloved Churchill Valley Greenway. As we continue restoring habitat and reintroducing native plant species, we must manage and remove invasive plants to support a healthy ecosystem. Volunteers will help remove invasive plants growing in a reforestation area.
Participants can expect to hike up to a mile on mixed terrain and navigate in tall grasses and flowers. Volunteers will use loppers, handsaws, shovels, and pullerbars to completely remove invasive plants such as barberry, privet, and amur honeysuckle.
Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required. Long sleeves and a hat are recommended. There are no restrooms or garbage cans on site. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Event day details will be sent to registrants via email.
