3ROC, Jackworth, & ALT: Community Conservation Bike Ride

Meeting at 3ROC at 5 pm, Allegheny Land Trust will lead a bike ride to Healcrest Green to tour the community green space that currently hosts a community trail and Allegheny Goatscape’s goats and donkeys. We’ll also tour the ALT-protected Kincaid Street Community Garden and Eastfield Community Garden to explore how land conservation can impact urban farming. Finally, we’ll end our ride at Jackworth Ginger Beer to cheers to saving local lands – whether big or small!

Ride Etiquette & Safety: This is a no-drop, social ride, meaning we will wait for everyone at scheduled stops and never leave a rider behind. The route utilizes roads shared with cars.
What to Bring:
- Bike. Bring it tuned up, tires inflated, chain greased, and ready to ride!
- Helmet. Participants arriving without a helmet will not be allowed to participate. Love your brain like you love local land!
- Lights. Bring your fully charged head and tail light as we’ll be rolling into and beyond sunset.
- Water & Snacks. Stay hydrated, avoid hanger, bring what you need.
- Money if you plan to enjoy a beverage at Jackworth Ginger Beer (they have both alcoholic and non-alcoholic offerings).
Why is this happening? Perhaps you didn’t question this at all, but we want to share anyway! Allegheny Land Trust and Jackworth Ginger Beer are 3ROC’s current Community Impact Partners – a program where the shop partners with local breweries and environmental or recreation-based nonprofit organizations to host mission-specific and fundraising events to support nonprofit partners. So, between September 2026 and February 2027, every ginger beer you buy at 3ROC supports ALT. Additionally, 3ROC, ALT, and Jackworth will collaborate on one event each month to invite you outdoors on local green spaces.
