Invasive Plant Workday at Bethel Green
May 2 @ 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Help us remove invasive plants to make way for native trees!
Registration is required so we can communicate in case of any necessary changes.
The ALT stewardship team needs your help to prepare the land at Bethel Green for another round of reforestation planting. To help the native trees grow healthy and strong, the young trees need an understory free of invasive shrubs and vines. We’ll work together to ensure Bethel Green’s newest saplings have a great start!
Volunteers will work with shovels, handsaws, pruners, and weed wrenches to remove invasive plants. Please work within your comfort and ability.
Tools and gloves will be provided. Participants should dress appropriately for working in dense brush: long sleeves, long pants, and close-toed shoes are required.
This event will take place rain or shine, but we will reschedule in case of thunderstorms or strong wind. Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring a reusable water bottle. There are no restrooms on site.
