Tree Planting at Linbrook Woodlands
November 23 @ 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Restore Riparian Buffer on Big Sewickley Creek
Registration is required so we can communicate in case of any necessary changes
Strap on your muck boots and join ALT on the bank of Big Sewickley Creek to plant dormant live stakes and trees. This planting will strengthen the riparian buffer that winds through Linbrook Woodlands, providing invaluable habitat for fish, birds, and other wildlife.
Volunteers will work with shovels, rebar poles, and pruners to plant trees and install live stakes in and along the creek bed. Some light lifting may be involved.
Tools and gloves will be provided. Participants should dress appropriately for walking in cold, wet, and muddy conditions.
Event will take place rain or shine, but we will cancel in case of thunderstorms or floods. Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring a reusable water bottle. There are no restrooms on site.
