The Current Global Pandemic
last updated 9/10/2020
The health, wellness, and safety of all ALT visitors, volunteers, and staff are our top priority. As we continue to follow this fluid situation with COVID-19, we will adhere to guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, the PA Department of Health, and local authorities.
During these uncertain times, our conservation areas are open and available for anyone looking to lower stress levels, entertain children/grandchildren with a walk, or take an opportunity to reconnect with nature. We do not encourage large group outings at this time and visitors should follow recommended guidelines. Please bring a mask to keep yourself and fellow trail users safe when a green space is busier than anticipated, and please provide 6 feet of space between yourselves and passing groups along trails.
We are now hosting in-person events with COVID-19 protocol in place; this includes a limit of 15 people for our in-person events. Those interested in these events can read details in our event calendar and on our Eventbrite. Individual participants of impacted events will be notified of cancellations via email, and events will be rescheduled when possible. Fees associated with classes will be refunded if desired by the participant. Our environmental education team will also host virtual programs for adults and kids to stay engaged in nature-based programming while at home.
ALT personnel are working on an adjusted schedule between home and office, and have access to email and phone messages. There may be some delay in responding, so please be patient with us.
Thank you for continuing to support ALT and please be safe and well.
