This hike will discuss the history and science of the Abandoned Mine Drainage (AMD) site at Wingfield Pines. DESCRIPTION:Join us for round 5 of our popular workshop series: Sustainability at Home! This series focuses on living a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle through at-home sustainability practices. This workshop will focus on choosing native plants that are best for your space. We’ll discuss plants for balconies/containers\, roadsides\, mailbox gardens\, rain gardens\, and much more! \nEach attending participant will receive one set of materials to help them get started at home (valued at $100!). Children under 18 are not eligible to receive the materials; please do not purchase a ticket for any children that may be in attendance with you. You must be present for the entire workshop to receive the provided materials.
