DESCRIPTION:Join an Allegheny Land Trust Educator on our 50+ Walking Series\, sponsored by AARP Pennsylvania. Geared for those ages 50 and up\, we will hike ALT’s properties over moderate terrain and distances (about 1 mile)\, taking plenty of breaks to stop and learn about our local flora and fauna. This hike will discuss the history and science of the Abandoned Mine Drainage (AMD) site at Wingfield Pines. Experience the beauty of these local spaces and learn how they contribute towards building a more livable community for people of all ages. \nEvents run rain or shine. Please drive through the open gate and down the driveway to park in the larger parking lot on the property. \nThis series is generously sponsored by AARP Pennsylvania. \nTICKETS
