DESCRIPTION:Together with supporters like you\, Allegheny Land Trust has helped local people save more than 4\,100 acres of local land in the Pittsburgh region since 1993. Today\, every community member in Allegheny County lives within 8 miles of an ALT conservation area.\n\n“Conserving local land” involves more than a purchase and a celebration of a new green space. With each land protected comes a promise: the promise of forever.\n\nBy supporting our work on ALT’s annual Day of Giving\, you’re helping us keep our “forever” promise to the land so we can continue caring for our close-to-home green spaces.\n\nThe impact of this work is felt in our communities through protected air and drinking water quality\, preserved wildlife habitat\, connectivity between picturesque green spaces and trails\, and opportunities for outdoor recreation and environmental education.\n\nWe need your help.
