#GivingTuesday: Give For Green Space

November 28

Now for 30 years, Allegheny Land Trust has helped local people save local land in the Pittsburgh region.

In that time, we have conserved more than 3,700 acres of land, putting every resident of Allegheny County within 8 miles of an ALT conservation area. We do this work to benefit current and future generations by ensuring our communities have clean water to drink, fresh air to breathe, and maintained green spaces to enjoy for outdoor recreation and environmental education.

This year, we’ve continued our work of trying to conserve more land, maintain and improve our existing lands, and providing all-ages environmental education to foster the next generation of stewards.

  • We’ve been working on conserving land in South Fayette & Collier, Monroeville, Ross, and Brighton Heights (current project list).
  • We’ve maintained and improved our lands with volunteer tree planting, clean up, trail-building workdays, and more.
  • We’ve offered dozens of opportunities for environmental education (upcoming events calendar).

This #GivingTuesday, we hope you’ll donate to support our continued conservation of one of our region’s most valuable assets: its green space.
