Christmas Bird Count: Dead Man’s Hollow

Become a community scientist; all experience levels welcome! Join an environmental educator at Dead Man’s Hollow and hike along the GAP/Ruins trails (about 1 mile each way) while cataloguing birds in conjunction with the Audubon Society’s annual Christmas Bird Count (CBC).
Bird count data will be submitted to Audubon to help scientists track and monitor bird populations as part of the first Mon Valley CBC, which includes Dead Man’s Hollow. Bring a pair of binoculars and your favorite bird guide. We will have a limited number of binoculars and guides available to borrow.
Programs will run for 3 hours rain or shine and walk ins will not be permitted.
