Vision for the Hollow

Allegheny Land Trust envisions:

  • an essentially wild place
  • recovery of the Wildlife Preserve to ecological conditions resembling those believed to have existed prior to European settlement
  • the conservation of lands adjoining the Wildlife Preserve that contain a rich biodiversity or that support the biological health of the Preserve
  • recreational and educational opportunities for the public consistent with the above statements

In support of this vision, volunteers and staff have removed tons of illegally dumped garbage, planted trees, removed non-native plants, and repaired erosion problems caused by dirt bikes and bicycles.
